In the beginning of a new, and hopefully more positive year 2021, we are taking a look back at our sustainability efforts during 2020. Further developing our sustainable packaging offering under AmerGreen program is in the core of our sustainability approach. In addition to focusing on our packaging portfolio, we are also taking into account the environmental effects of our production, as well as paying attention to responsible sourcing of raw materials.
Amerplast is relentlessly promoting transition towards the circular economy model. This means focusing our resources on developing fully recyclable packaging solutions, utilizing recycled materials, and promoting and further developing the use of biobased alternatives together with our partners. As producer of food packaging, it is our responsibility also to find solutions to minimize food waste. In the future, there simply isn’t enough food to be wasted, not forgetting the environmental and economic effects of food waste already today.
In 2021, we will continue our work for offering even more sustainable flexible packaging solutions and for the necessary transition to the circular economy of plastics. Journey towards more sustainable future will be done together with all our stakeholders. Thanks to innovative partners, environmentally aware customers and skilled Amerplast packaging experts, we are well set for solving the challenges and creating environmentally sound solutions. We are looking forward to continue our work together in 2021.
