We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance team in Tampere to ensure the safe and effective production. As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for leading our local Maintenance function consisting of eleven skilled professionals from the fields of electricity and automation technology. Your duties also include the development of our Maintenance processes and overall efficiency. You will work in close cooperation with our Production and Supply Chain teams and report to Amerplast Chief Operating Officer.

Key responsibilities:


  • Managing Maintenance Department operations in accordance with our safety policies
  • Ensuring an effective utilization of our Maintenance team resources
  • Being responsible for the maintenance system and its development
  • Developing the anticipatory maintenance operations
  • Making scheduled maintenance plans and managing their execution
  • Managing the technical support for the production organization
  • Managing/participating in the development projects of our processes, machines and equipment

What we expect from you:


  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electricity
  • A degree in automation/electricity and relevant professional experience
  • Prior experience of working as a supervisor
  • Experience of project management (investment and development projects)
  • Great leadership, cooperation and communication skills
  • Finnish and English, both written and verbal is required


We would appreciate if you also have experience of:


  • Plastic or printing industry processes
  • LEAN / TPM (total productive maintenance)
  • Prior experience of similar position and/or industrial environment will be a good benefit succeeding in this position
